Long before I was modeling multi-entity valuations, I was racing down the icy face of Aspen Highlands. Ski racing demands focus, resilience, and the willingness to take calculated risks — traits I didn’t realize would translate so well to corporate finance.
In both arenas, you can’t afford to freeze under pressure. You prepare, you trust your training, and when the time comes, you commit fully. If you crash (or your model assumptions fall apart), you get up, analyze what went wrong, and improve for the next run.
It’s a mindset I try to bring to client work every day: embrace the challenge, execute decisively, and always be ready to learn.
